Canon added a new product to its EOS Kiss series dubbed the EOS Kiss X2, a popular digital single-lens reflex camera that features sophisticated functions in line with those of top end cameras and provides even higher resolution footage.
The newly developed 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and the high quality DIGIC III image processor provide both unsurpassed image resolution and color gradation. In addition, the new camera features superior image depiction in a wide photographic sensitivity range between ISO100 and ISO 1600. The EOS Kiss X2 also outperforms previous models with a maximum frame rate of 3.5 frames per second, which enables consecutive image shooting of up to 53 photos. The camera also comes with a high speed, high precision 9-point AF system that was enhanced to support the F2.8 center lens group.
The EOS Kiss X2 is a lightweight camera that weighs only 475 grams and features a shutter speed conversion function that corrects image blurring due to camera shaking in roughly 4 stages. The camera is also equipped with a wide angle TFT 3.0 inch LCD monitor that can display footage in high resolution at around 0.23 mega pixels, and with its enhanced high-intensity illumination for the backlight, the camera’s maximum brightness was improved 30 percent.
With the use of the live view function, users can film an object while watching it on the LCD monitor in real-time. The camera also features a manual focus mode that allows the user to zoom in on the image displayed on the LCD monitor to 5X or 10x in order to fine tune the focus.

Hello
I was planning to buy a DSLR for a along time and now I came across an offer. Now i am a little confused. which one to buy?
Canon EOS 1000D + 18-55mm + 75-300mm for 650 Euros and
Nikon D3000+ 18-55mm + 18-200mm+ 4GB SD card + Carry case for 600 Euros
both with usual accessories
I have a likeness towards Canon from the begining because I have experience with my friend’s Canon D450. I plan to shoot nature normal functions in my University.
So what is your opinion?
Hi Achuth,
I too am a Canon fan but when I started to make more photographer friends in my network circle, I realized that Nikon too has it’s own strengths (but disadvantages as well).
In my opinion the Nikon in-built flash gives you more control options than Canon. There is some compatibility issues in Nikon when you try to mix and match different makes and models of lenses when you upgrade. But if you stick to Nikon recommended lenses, that should not be a problem. In other words, Canon body is more flexible in terms of accepting various lenses of different models and makes (unlike Nikon).
I think for an amateur photographer who needs mentoring "on-the-spot", the best DSLR probably is
Nikon D3000 10MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens
This includes Camera body and a basic lens to give you the jump-start.
The key feature is the "Guide mode" makes selecting camera settings easy for beginning SLR photographers. Add to this various "everyday" features with some unique ones -
10.2 Megapixel
Compact, lightweight and Portable
11 point Autofocus
3fps continuous shooting mode
In-built ‘Help’ Function
"In-camera" image editing functions
Nikon EXPEED image processor for responsive shooting and high-accuracy photos
Integrated Dust Reduction System to keep image sensor clean for spotless photos
You find it here: http://bit.ly/nikon3k
The price is quite affordable at around $450 (in US) and very competitive compared to other entry level DSLRs.

I like macro photography, nature, and sports photography.
The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro is an excellent macro lens for your camera. As for sports, you’ll want something a bit longer, which also focuses faster than the macro lens.
Depending upon your budget, the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L would be my first choice for a zoom lens. Second choice would be the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM would be a good less expensive choice. One last choice would be a lens new to the market the Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, it covers a range from wide to fairly long.
The top choice for sports though, would be the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8 IS USM, but that is also the most expensive of the lenses. It is also a prime lens, which has no zoom.
The lens that comes with it is the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens.
I am looking at two different lenses as a second set. Which one is better zoom and quality wise?
Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Zoom Lens
Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro Autofocus Lens
Thanks!
Between the two I would go with Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Zoom Lens but if you can pay a more Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens would be better choice
